Heba Ewida, Phd

Heba A. Ewida completed her BSc. and MSc. degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Cairo University followed by a Ph.D in biochemistry and molecular biology from Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University. She was a visiting scientist at Szweda’s laboratory, UT SouthWestern medical center, Dallas, Texas. Dr. Ewida joined the Ahmed lab as a post-doctoral fellow in the pharmaceutical sciences department at Texas Tech University Health Science Center, Amarillo. Her research mainly focused on investigating the role of early metabolic events in cardiovascular disorders and cancer, as well as molecular target validation and drug discovery.
